SYNOPSIS

In the summer of 2002, Anders Djupsjöbacka from Terjärv, Finland did a very hard thing; he enlisted in the U.S. Army without U.S. citizenship or a green card. This is bureaucratically impossible. Still, the Ostrobotnian “can-do” mentality prevailed, and Anders was promoted to corporal in 2003.

During a routine recon mission in the middle east, Anders gets cut off from his unit and is left alone at the mercy of the desert and its inhabitants. Anders  is forced to overcome his emotional burdens and take matters into his own hands so that he can do the right thing. The film is very interesting and long.
